We’re excited to announce a big change to our annual gala!
Every October, we come together to celebrate the Humanities in Missouri and listen to a keynote speaker discuss a new topic each year. This year, we are changing things up a bit. While the U.S. is still responding to the coronavirus pandemic, we plan to prepare for both an in-person event as well as a virtual option for those who are unable to attend for health reasons. While classically our gala has also been a time to give out our annual Humanities Awards, this year we’ll only be announcing the award winners at the gala. We will then host an awards luncheon in March to honor and celebrate the award recipients, and other humanities projects that took place in 2020.
As we look to 2021, we aim to expand our mission as we remember the past and look to the future. This new annual event, the Awards Luncheon, is an opportunity to do just that. Our focus for this luncheon will be highlighting the previous year while we share our excitement for the year to come.
