Look Again: Uncovering St. Louis

How do small changes alter how we see a place? In this interactive program, participants will explore altered historical images of St. Louis—from photographs and paintings to maps and newspaper clippings—and try to “spot the difference.” Each image holds a story, and once the difference is revealed, we’ll dive into a conversation about what the image shows, what’s missing and what it means, drawing attention to change over time and uncovering unexpected layers of the city’s past. From the serious to the surprising, each difference offers a window into the visual and cultural history of St. Louis.
