Join us as we consider the role of civility in democracy and ask ourselves: What is the role of citizenry in our “American Experiment,” past, present, and future?
Missouri Humanities Corps is an AmeriCorps program that places AmeriCorps members in cultural heritage and tourism institutions across rural Missouri to help them preserve and present their local heritage assets to community members and visitors alike.
The Field House Museum is excited to welcome Andy Tolch on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM! A longtime toy collector and expert, Tolch will share his knowledge of toys and their impact on childhood fun. St. Louis was once home to major toy companies like Gundlach, Marks, Tootsietoy, and Wolverine, and the city’s toy-making tradition is part of what makes our museum’s collection so special. From Eugene Field’s own love of toys to our current exhibit, Growing Together: Fisher-Price Toys Across Generations, the joy of play has always had a home here.
This program is free with limited availability in person and on Zoom. Reservations must be made in advance at https://fieldhousemuseum.org/events/programs/.
