“Shannondale, By Heart and By Hand”
“A Forest Gospel”
These two short video productions explore the era of the Depression and the early days of forest management in Shannon and surrounding counties. Told through first-person accounts, they recall the days when Shannondale’s first minister, Rev. Vincent Bucher, improved the lives of residents through the Gospel and “Brotherhood Economics.”

June 21, 6:30 p.m., Ozark Natural and Cultural Resource Center, 200 S. Main St., Salem
June 27, 7:00 p.m., Shannon County Museum, Eminence, Hwy. 19, across from Tim’s Market
The videos will be followed by “remembering sessions,” where people can share their connections with the past.
The programs are made possible by grants from the Missouri Humanities Council and the L-A-D Foundation. They are free and open to the public.
