As part of a weekend of events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Jefferson City, the 100 block of Madison Street will be filled with re-enactors and booths with a variety of period information. Both the Governor’s Mansion and the Cole County Historical Society will be open for tours. Local history authors will be available for book signings. A photo booth will allow you to be part of the past. Both President Abraham Lincoln and President Ulysses Grant will make appearances. And an historic dance troupe will share music and dance in performance and audience participation.
