SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES

Cultural Heritage Services

This Missouri Humanities program supports museums, historical societies, and other heritage organizations across the state through workshops and one-on-one coaching. These programs are designed to strengthen operations, community engagement, and storytelling capacity within Missouri’s cultural institutions. Monthly workshops, most occurring virtually, cover topics such as fundraising, marketing, exhibit development, oral history, and volunteer management. In-person sessions provide deeper, hands-on training to help organizations preserve and share Missouri’s extensive history.

How We're Helping

Missouri Humanities empowers cultural heritage partners by providing practical resources and personalized guidance that build long-term sustainability. Through expert-led workshops and tailored coaching, we help organizations refine their missions, improve audience engagement, and develop effective management practices. Our collaborative approach supports everything from governance and tourism development to digital preservation and community storytelling. By investing in these organizations, we strengthen Missouri’s communities and ensure that local histories continue to educate and inspire future generations.
