This presentation demonstrated the importance of interregional cooperation, showing spatial data including: maps showing commuting patters, workforce and job location, lodging availability, distances from major metros. We will discuss “critical mass” by pairing our attractions with other communities, designing advertising that “packages” regional assets for visitors, and looking at some examples of communities that have done this successfully.
Creating & Sustaining an Effective Volunteer Program
This program looked at the many aspects of managing in-house volunteers and eVolunteers. The Missouri State Archives has benefited from volunteers since the 1970’s and began our eVolunteer program in 1999.
