Women’s History Month Program – The Revolving Academy Door: African American Women In Higher Education.

The Greater Kansas City Black History Study Group and CCAAL Inc. (Clay County African American Legacy Inc.) present a Women’s History Month Program in the northland on Sunday, March 24th, at 3:00 pm in Yates Gill College Union, Room #121, at William Jewell College.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Vanessa Garry, Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis who is a member of The Missouri Humanities Speaker’s Bureau. Dr. Garry has researched Dr. Ruth Harris, the first African American female president of Harris-Stowe State University. Following her presentation will be a panel discussion with three African American women in higher education.
