Missouri Humanities and Mizzou Center for the Humanities are teaming up to bring four nationally known veteran writers to Columbia, Missouri.
Join us for “Military Service/Literary Solace: A Conversation with Veteran Writers” at The State Historical Society of Missouri on April 18th. Speaking from varied military backgrounds and literary genres, Brian Turner, Dewaine Farria, Jerri Bell, and Matt Gallagher will discuss the connection between their experiences as veterans and their creative work. Andrew Visscher, an MA Candidate at the University of Missouri, will moderate the conversation. He is a literary scholar and serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army Advanced Civil Schooling Program.
