Fayette Juneteenth Celebration

June 18 @ 6:30 pm - June 22 @ 12:00 pm
Free

Fayette’s 25th Annual Juneteenth Community Celebration is just around the corner — June 18–22, 2025. This year marks a major milestone as we honor 25 years of unity, remembrance, and celebration in our community!

This year marks 160 years since June 19, 1865—the day when the last enslaved African Americans were finally freed, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth reminds us not only of the delayed freedom of our ancestors, but of their perseverance, faith, and the enduring hope that carried them forward.

Join us as we come together to Build Bridges to Freedom, reflecting on 160 years of strength, hope, and soaring resilience. From powerful presentations and a community banquet to live music, a vibrant parade, fun & games, worship service where everyone is invited and a BBQ cook-off — there’s something for everyone!

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” – James Baldwin
