This interactive presentation by Alex Primm will describe little heralded Missouri conservation heroes. The audience will have the opportunity to describe their heroes as well. This will take place at the Harrisonville Public Library’s Meeting Room.
Thanks in part to several state agencies, Missouri has been a renowned pioneer in restoring wildlife and protecting our environment. We will also explore Missouri’s natural areas inspiring these conservationists. Missouri has great parks, sensible development regulation, protection of farmland, drinking water and natural resources thanks to those who created a heritage of conservation respected around the world.
Alex Primm was the curator at Ozark Ag Museum at Maramec Spring Park and recent author of Ozark Voices: Oral History from the Heartland.
