Location: Cass County Historical Society
400 E. Mechanic Street
Pearson Hall (Suite 207)

Our day will consist of group discussions, applied activities, and a two-part presentation from Dr. Arthur Mehrhoff on “Place and Placemaking.” Arthur’s interactive presentation will provide participants with clearly explained and illustrated examples of the key concepts and issues involved with cultural heritage tourism and numerous opportunities to apply them to your own community situation(s).

Our workshop draws upon both the humanities and design arts to help participants refine their working understanding of cultural heritage tourism, its proper place in their communities, and meaningful ways to achieve their objectives. Come learn how heritage and culture can benefit your community, and brainstorm ways to increase engagement and better utilize your community’s assets!
