Missouri Humanities strives to implement and support initiatives that highlight Native stories and voices.
The Cambio Storytelling Festival — a new addition for the Cambio de Colores conference’s 23rd year — has three objectives:
1. To promote collaboration and open exchange among Missouri residents, as they share stories about heritage and migration during the conference and beyond.
2. To develop greater access and interactions between storytelling experts and Missourians, particularly new residents.
3. To generate and record new understandings of Missouri’s history and demographic change through subsequent story circles, presented in-person and preserved online.
The Cambio Center at the University of Missouri-Columbia is sponsoring this program in partnership with the Missouri Humanities and with support from the Missouri Humanities Trust Fund.
