Author Talk – Linda Dobkins

March 26 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Step back in time with us on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM as we welcome author Jo Allison to discuss the “uppity” women that have made St. Louis history. From founding mother Marie Thérèse Chouteau to national icons Maya Angelou and Tina Turner, St. Louis women have shaped the city in ways large and small.
Drawing from vignettes in Storied and Scandalous St. Louis: A History of Breweries, Baseball, Prejudice, and Protest, author Jo Allison will recount their stories and their continuing influence. Women who fought for freedom, workers’ rights, political recognition, and for themselves: we have a rich tapestry to explore for Women’s History Month.
This program is free with limited availability in person and on Zoom. Reservations must be made in advance on our website, by calling the Museum at 314-421-4689, or by emailing info@fieldhousemuseum.org.
